I started training on January 2nd, the same day I gave up alcohol to help with my running. You see it's the first exercise I'd undertaken in nearly 7 years... I'm not sure whether the medal is needed for the exercise or for the the lack of booze?
The training has been hard but I'm really starting to benefit from the efforts. Last week I took as holiday from work and ran over 50k over five days, and I have got to keep it over over the next four weeks and make I look after myself and my body. Definite twinge in the hamstring yesterday!?!
Along with running home from work at least 3 nights a week (with some longer weekend stints) I'm in an organised 10k race around the Olympic Park in Newham on Sunday March 27th. Also have a 30k run pencilled in the diary for early April which will be the furthest I go in training.
Money going well, but could be better, trying to beg steal and borrow from all I can from my friends and colleagues... Hopefully a fundraising night on April 6th at Tufnell Park Tavern in North London. £10 in, quiz, raffle etc... Details to follow soon.

I'm running in support of the MS Society and all donations are gratefully received!
